I’m Yvon, a cybersecurity professional with a passion for protecting personal data both online and offline. My journey into ethical technology began with a deep concern for how major tech companies handle user information. Witnessing the pervasive data exploitation in the industry motivated me to seek out and promote alternatives that prioritize user privacy and autonomy.

As a minimalist and vegetarian, I try to live with intention — choosing what adds value and letting go of what doesn’t. This extends beyond the physical into the digital: fewer tools, fewer distractions, and greater respect for privacy. ALT+SHIFT+EU reflects this mindset—a quiet project built on the belief that ethical tech should be accessible, transparent, and aligned with how we want to live.

When I’m not exploring ethical tech or coming up with new vegetarian meals, I’m usually outside with my dog, Henry. 🐾 A quiet walk, a patch of sun, fresh air—these moments keep me grounded. They remind me why I started this project in the first place. It’s not about chasing the next big thing; it’s about making space for better choices and supporting what already exists.
